2007 Devon Rarities Competition

2007 DEVON RARITIES COMPETITION
Competition Summary
Each entrant has predicted 5 rare species of bird they think may appear somewhere in Devon in 2007, points are awarded depending on the degree of rarity:- County Rarity = 2 points National Rarity = 5 points First for county = 20 points First for UK = 30 points	In either of the first two categories there would be a bonus of 2 points per species if the species had been recorded less than 10 times before in Devon. The County List is here, the species indicated (A) are the County Rarities. Species indicated with an asterisk after the name (i.e. Lesser Scaup *) are the National Rarities.	The winner and runners up will be the entries with the three highest points totals at the end of the year. There will be three prizes of prints from EcoVisuals . An A4 print for 1st place and A5 prints for the two runners up. The winner and runners up will be able to choose their prints from any picture in the EcoVisuals Picture Library.
